Job description
Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Program Coordinator for our MicroEnterprise program. The MicroEnterprise Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting entrepreneurship training programs that empower aspiring and existing small business owners throughout Southwest Florida. This position oversees program logistics, participant engagement, community partnerships, and administrative functions while ensuring high-quality program delivery. The position requires frequent travel throughout the service areas of Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties, as well as frequent evening and weekend hours to support classes, workshops, networking events, and special events., * Coordinate entrepreneurship training programs, workshops, and special events.
- Recruit, enroll, and support Facilitators, Business Coaches and aspiring entrepreneurs’ suitability.
- Schedule classrooms, speakers, coaches, and community partners.
- Maintain participant records and prepare program reports.
- Assist with budget tracking, and monitoring program expenses.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, community organizations, volunteers, and business resource partners.
- Assist with planning graduation ceremonies, pitch competitions, and other signature events.
- Maintain daily content on social media platforms.
- Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have a flexible schedule and work nights and weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience in program coordination, workforce development, education, nonprofit management, or small business support required.
- Budget monitoring or basic financial management experience preferred.
- Provide outstanding customer service to participants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Passion for helping entrepreneurs and strengthening local communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom and SharePoint.
- Ability to learn participant database systems and reporting software.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and events simultaneously.
