Job description

  • Working under the Manager, IT Network Engineering, supervises the performance of the Network Engineering staff and their ability to support internal and external clients 24x7 and ensure that service levels are met or exceeded.

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions, services, and activities of IT Network Engineering services.

  • Assists in the planning, design, implementation, and support of the technical infrastructure within the organization.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, lifting and carrying usual weight up to 15 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force; reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods; frequent gripping of an object.

  • Operates: electronic test equipment, hand and power tools and various office equipment.

Requirements

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, healthcare or related field; or four (4) years experience in information technology may be substituted for educational requirement.

  • Current certification in one (1) or more of the following preferred:

o Cisco or equivalent certifications in Enterprise Networks, Security, Collaboration

o PMI project management certifications, * In addition to the educational requirement, four (4) years progressive experience in enterprise network planning, design and operations, preferably in an acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery application system environment.

  • One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and present to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

  • Ability to lead teams, gain consensus, and move teams towards a shared vision.

  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
