Job description
The Systems & Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s network infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, and core business systems across multiple locations. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure while providing advanced technical support to support business operations and strategic technology initiatives. The position serves as a key technical resource for infrastructure management, network administration, system security, and end-user support., Infrastructure and Network Administration
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and internet connectivity.
- Support and administer Windows Server environments and associated infrastructure services.
- Diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, and system-related issues.
- Monitor system availability, performance, and capacity to ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external IT partners to resolve infrastructure and telecommunications issues.
- Support data backup processes, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity initiatives.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, systems documentation, and IT asset inventories.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, hardware replacements, and technology refresh projects.
- Ensure compliance with established IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and related collaboration platforms.
- Manage user accounts, licensing, permissions, distribution lists, security groups, and resource access.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, including identity management and authentication services.
- Troubleshoot email delivery, account access, authentication, and collaboration platform issues.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), access controls, conditional access policies, and security monitoring.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities related to system access and user provisioning.
- Maintain documentation related to Microsoft 365 administration and governance.
Technical Support & Project Implementation
- Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support for escalated infrastructure, application, and hardware issues.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, handheld devices, mobile devices, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting business-critical applications and systems.
- Assist with system deployments, software upgrades, infrastructure implementations, and technology projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end users across multiple company locations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base resources.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and operational efficiency., * Work is performed in office, warehouse, distribution, and production environments.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, forklifts, machinery, and warehouse traffic may occur when supporting operational areas.
- Frequent interaction with employees, vendors, service providers, and business partners across multiple locations.
- Must be able to respond promptly to critical system outages and infrastructure issues to minimize business disruption.
Work Schedule and Travel Requirements
- Regular business hours with flexibility to support operational and business needs.
- Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on business requirements, system maintenance, upgrades, implementations, troubleshooting, and emergency support activities.
- May be required to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours technical support.
- Ability and willingness to travel to company facilities, branch locations, vendor sites, and other business-related destinations as required
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Network Administration, or a related IT role.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networking, and switching technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting network, infrastructure, and system-related issues.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
- Experience with firewall administration and network security management.
- Experience supporting multi-site business operations.
- Experience administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience supporting warehouse technology, handheld devices, and barcode scanning systems.
- Experience within a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or supply chain environment.

- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate computers and related technology equipment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or reach.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to inspect, install, and troubleshoot IT equipment in office, warehouse, and production environments.
