Where you come in

  • You will maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure, pipelines, and data models that support Manufacturing Operations analytics and reporting.

  • You will partner with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements for datasets, dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.
  • You will support documentation of data sources, data definitions, workflows, lineage, and pipeline logic to improve transparency and sustainability.
  • You will participate in Agile delivery practices, including Jira-based task management, sprint planning, status updates, and knowledge sharing.
  • You will develop foundational cloud engineering skills, including use of Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and core GCP services.
  • You will begin cross-training in Dexcom manufacturing, operations, and quality domains to better understand how data supports safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • You have foundational experience maintaining data pipelines, data workflows, databases, or analytics infrastructure.
  • You are proficient in basic SQL, including joins, filtering, aggregations, and query troubleshooting.
  • You have exposure to data modeling concepts and can support basic data model development in cloud data platforms such as BigQuery.
  • You understand fundamental programming concepts, debugging practices, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • You have a basic understanding of cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • You are familiar with ETL or ELT concepts and have exposure to tools such as Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, dbt, or similar technologies.
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, quality, and documentation.
  • You can independently gather basic business requirements and clarify stakeholder needs with guidance.
  • You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners and are comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  • Interest in working toward Google Associate Cloud Engineer or related cloud certification.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Agile software development practices, or ticket-based delivery workflows.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, or regulated industry data.
  • Exposure to descriptive statistics, data validation, SPC concepts, or operational KPI reporting.
  • Familiarity with source control, documentation practices, and data governance concepts.
  • Interest in developing deeper skills in data engineering, pipeline orchestration, data quality, and analytics enablement., Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
