Job description
Experteer Overview As a Data Engineer, you will shape Coalitionâs data platform across the Cyber Security value chain, turning raw data into high-value products. Youâll implement a Medallion Architecture on Snowflake and use dbt to prepare data for Looker BI and AI/ML workloads. Youâll partner with Stakeholders, Research, and Data Science to deliver reliable, scalable data assets that support cyber insurance analytics and risk scoring. This role blends data modeling, pipeline engineering, and governance to enable data-driven decision making in a remote-first, collaborative environment. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement Star Schema models within a Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for cyber insurance and security analytics * Build scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt with a focus on data quality and observability * Define SLIs/SLOs for data freshness, volume, and schema integrity and implement automated alerting * Develop and maintain the LookML semantic layer for stakeholders and BI consumption * Apply data masking, RBAC, and secure data handling practices * Act as a technical peer, conducting code reviews and sharing dbt/Python best practices * Build feature stores and data foundations to support AI-driven risk scoring and automated underwriting Tasks * Looker (LookML) experience * Cursor or other AI-assisted coding tools experience * Prior cyber security or cyber insurance experience * Experience building data foundations for AI agents * Proficiency with Snowflake and dbt Key requirements * 100% medical, dental and vision coverage * Flexible PTO policy * Annual home office stipend and WeWork access * Mental & physical health wellness programs (One Medical, Headspace, Wellhub) * Competitive compensation and opportunity for advancement
