Principal Technical Program Manager, Core

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery for cross-Core and cross-product initiatives at Google. You’ll own ambiguous, high-impact efforts from 0 to 1, define problem spaces, and build roadmaps with multi-team alignment. You’ll architect scalable workflows and deployment plans that improve velocity and reduce friction across the organization. You will collaborate with executive engineering and product leadership to set architectural direction and drive AI/Cloud transformations at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery of cross-Core and cross-product initiatives * Own ambiguous 0 to 1 initiatives, define problem space, align stakeholders, and build comprehensive roadmaps * Dismantle silos and reduce systemic friction, architect scalable workflows and prioritization frameworks * Direct high-level programs without established pathways and craft deployment plans from the ground up * Collaborate with executive engineering and product leadership on architectural direction * Design scalable operational frameworks and provide analytical performance overviews, risk mitigations, and decision evaluations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience * 15 years in technical program management or engineering management, and 5 years as practicing software engineer * 10 years as a senior IC, architect, or tech lead driving cross-functional initiatives without direct authority * Experience establishing operational metrics, SLOs, and performance tracking for software products Key requirements * bonus target (30%) * equity * benefits * competitive compensation * growth opportunities
