Job description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Confluent Cloud Administrator / Platform Engineer to support and manage enterprise event-streaming platforms in a global environment. This role will be responsible for administering Confluent Cloud, maintaining secure and reliable platform operations, supporting hybrid cloud connectivity, and driving automation initiatives to improve security, governance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Confluent Cloud administration, Azure infrastructure management, and platform automation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in platform administration, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering roles.
Hands-on experience administering Confluent Cloud in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of:

o ACL management

o Schema Registry administration

o Service Accounts and API Keys

o Monitoring and alerting

o Topic and connector administration

Experience deploying and managing both self-managed and managed Confluent connectors.
Expertise with Confluent Gateway Proxy and hybrid cloud connectivity architectures.
Strong Azure administration experience, including:

o Azure Subscriptions

o App Services

o Virtual Networks (VNets)

o Load Balancers

o Network Security and Connectivity

Experience automating security remediation and vulnerability management for Azure environments.
Strong troubleshooting, system administration, and operational support skills.
Experience supporting production environments with high availability and reliability requirements.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with globally distributed teams. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Kafka architecture, event-driven systems, and enterprise messaging platforms.
Azure certifications and/or Confluent certifications preferred.
