Python Automation Test Engineer

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Python to validate software functionalities across web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, translate them into comprehensive test cases, and execute tests aligned with Agile methodologies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab to enable rapid feedback and efficient release cycles.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and system testing on diverse applications including mobile (Android/iOS) and web-based systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases, working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues using debugging tools and data analysis skills.
• Utilize defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM to document issues clearly and follow through until resolution.
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions, contribute to test planning strategies, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) processes.

• Proficiency in SQL databases such as MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server for data validation and analysis; experience with PL/SQL is a plus.
• Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile practices, DevOps principles, and version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Ability to perform performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; experience with system testing and QA/QC processes is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills for data analysis, troubleshooting complex issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python along with knowledge of other languages such as Java or C# is advantageous.
• Experience working with defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps is preferred.
