Job description

Our client, a U.S.-based manufacturer, has made significant progress modernizing its Boomi-based integration environment. The team is now balancing ongoing EDI support, ERP connectivity, partner onboarding, ASN initiatives, testing, monitoring, and longer-term platform improvements. The client needs a developing integration professional who can take on structured daily tactical work while learning from an established senior Boomi lead. This role is intended for a capable, coachable consultant who can contribute now, grow into additional responsibility, and help create sustainable support capacity for the team.

The Work

  • Support day-to-day Boomi and EDI operational activities under senior technical guidance.
  • Help monitor transactions, investigate failures, and work through data, mapping, connectivity, or configuration issues.
  • Assist with testing and validating EDI flows involving customers, vendors, ERP and related systems.
  • Support phased ASN and warehouse-shipment initiatives, including 900 series data validation and repeatable partner onboarding activities.
  • Create and maintain support documentation, process notes, test cases, runbooks, and configuration records.
  • Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions and gradually assume ownership of defined support or development tasks.
  • Assist with map changes, process-flow updates, connectivity setup, and other integration work as experience grows.
  • Work collaboratively with senior integration, ERP, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

The Outcome

A successful consultant will become a reliable member of the integration team, handle defined support and implementation tasks with increasing independence, and create additional capacity for senior resources to focus on architecture, modernization, and strategic Boomi initiatives.

Requirements

  • Around 1- 2+ years of experience as an EDI Boomi developer, analyst, or support consultant with hands on Boomi experience.
  • Solid understanding of EDI/B2B concepts, transaction flow, mapping, partner testing, and production support.
  • Able to troubleshoot methodically, ask effective questions, and follow issues through resolution.
  • Mapping to modern ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, EBS, or other similar EDI to ERP integration experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with common EDI transactions such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 945, 997, etc.
  • Experience with 3PL, warehouse, shipment, ASN, or order-to-cash integrations.
  • Comfortable learning from a senior lead and working within established technical direction.
  • Dependable, coachable, communicative, and interested in building deeper skills in Boomi and EDI integration.
