Requirements

We are looking for a talented Senior Principal Software engineer to work in the area of RFCM development and integration. The opening is for a large and dynamic program developing an Electronic Warfare (EW) product onboard a military aircraft. The candidate must have a deep knowledge of EW countermeasures and the ability to lead an experienced technical team.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge of EW countermeasures
  • Proven ability to lead an experienced development team
  • Proven ability to create complex designs, working with both existing baselines and new-start projects
  • Proven knowledge in service-based architecture
  • Proven ability to create test artifacts, execute and capture test results
  • Lab integration experience with complex systems
  • Ability to partner with senior technical and project leads to provide estimates, status, risks and opportunities
  • Ability to evaluate, create, and reconcile requirements across multiple baselines or projects
  • Familiar with Git, Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong C experience
  • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
  • Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in identifying software risk areas in a design to mitigate technical risk

Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
