Job description
- Serve as a Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) for assigned LTRS subsystem(s) under the guidance of senior staff, assisting with the tracking and management of risks, subsystem anomalies, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) cases.
- Assist in developing out-year plans (spend plans) and compiling data for Government funding inputs to address subsystem needs.
- Provide project integration support from contract award through the final transition of Third-Party Developer (TPD) systems into the SFRC OM&S baseline.
- Support the development of acquisition documentation (e.g., SOO, SOW, PWS) for TPD procurements and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) development.
- Assist in defining and writing requirements for TPD contracts based on capabilities and operating concepts in support of SLD30.
- Participate in coordination efforts with Government customers and internal SFRC stakeholders.
- Support risk management activities by helping identify and assess subsystem and LTRS risks.
- Support LTRS Risk Management Working Groups and Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMBs).
- Assist in overseeing the transition and integration of new or modified systems to ensure they meet SFRC OM&S standards.
- Support the execution of systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.
- Assist in developing training tools and documentation for transitioning systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for system design and testing.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Aptitude for rapidly learning new concepts, technologies, and integration processes.
- Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and the Microsoft Office suite., * A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- 0-2 years of systems engineering experience (Requirements, Test, Specialty Engineering, Project Integration, Subsystem Lifecycle Management, or Systems Architecture) or a related field.
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering lifecycle and systems engineering processes.
- Some extended standing, and/or travel to local and remote sites
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Benefits & conditions
- The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate., The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually.
Compensation Details: 85000
