Job description
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Systems Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Windows-based tablets within a highly secure, networked environment. This role demands deep technical expertise in endpoint management, automation, and troubleshooting across hybrid identity infrastructures., * Deploy and configure Windows 11 tablets using Autopilot, SCCM, and Intune
- Package, test, and deploy applications, configurations, and policies via Intune and SCCM
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate device provisioning, compliance, and health monitoring
- Configure and manage certificates, VPN connections, Wi-Fi profiles, and cellular/APN settings
- Diagnose and resolve complex OS, network, and application issues in secure, restricted environments
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and remediate technical challenges
- Drive continuous improvement of provisioning workflows, deployment strategies, and support processes
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of hands-on experience, strong proficiency with modern device management tools, and a proactive approach to process optimization and operational efficiency., * 10+ years of experience in IT systems administration, endpoint management, or a related field
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune and SCCM (Endpoint Configuration Manager)
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment, imaging, and configuration
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience managing VPN, Wi-Fi, and cellular network configurations
- Familiarity with certificate management and secure, compliance-driven environments
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Core Skills
- Microsoft Intune & SCCM administration
- Windows Autopilot, MDT, and OS deployment strategies
- PowerShell scripting and task automation
- VPN (e.g., NetMotion), Wi-Fi, and APN configuration
- Certificate lifecycle management and PKI
- Advanced Windows OS troubleshooting
- Secure, firewalled network operations
- Application packaging and deployment
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Modern Desktop Administrator, Azure Administrator)
- Experience in public sector, government, or highly regulated environments
- Strong focus on process improvement and automation
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., C, Python)
- Experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives
Hybrid: Primarily remote with occasional travel to the Manhattan office and to customer, vendor, or project sites throughout the five boroughs of New York City
Pay: From $85.00 per hour
Experience:
