Systems Engineer

• Integrate Simulation Control Executive (SCE) components into a digital range environment
• Implement distributed time advancement, rate controls, and event-driven mechanisms
• Develop run initialization logic and support parallel session execution
• Monitor node health and status during distributed simulation runs
• Support configuration distribution and session orchestration

Security Requirements

• TS required; SCI eligibility required
• U.S. Citizenship Required

• 5-14 years of engineering experience aligned to distributed systems or real-time simulation
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++
• Hands-on experience with messaging or event-driven architectures (DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, or similar)
• Experience integrating large, complex software systems or simulation frameworks
• Familiarity with configuration management, run-control systems, or time-driven applications
• Experience working in classified development environments
• Strong understanding of Linux-based systems
• Experience with Git in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with one or more defense simulation environments (AFSIM, CSSE, JSE, GRID, NGTS, STK, OneSAF, Brawler, etc.)
• Experience developing distributed orchestration workflows (headless execution, parallelization, HPC, cloud-based execution pipelines)
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• Strong technical writing skills (interface documentation, ICD interpretation, test plans)
• Experience supporting government test ranges or OT&E events
• Experience with time-critical systems or real-time control loops
• Systems Engineering certifications (INCOSE, Systems Modeling, MBSE) are a plus, * How many years of experience do you have with one or more of the following simulation frameworks: AFSIM, JSE, GRID, CSSE
