Job description

Seeking an experienced Databricks Architect / Resident Solution Architect with 12-15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Analytics, and Modern Data Warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Databricks implementation experience, strong cloud architecture expertise, and a proven background working with public-sector clients.

Requirements

  • 12-15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Analytics, and Modern Data Warehouse solutions.
  • 10+ years of consulting and client-facing delivery experience.
  • Successfully delivered 6-8+ end-to-end Databricks implementations as a Developer, Technical Lead, or Solution Architect.
  • Databricks Data Engineering Professional certification or equivalent advanced Databricks certification preferred/required.
  • Experience with the Databricks Solutions Architect Champion program is a plus.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform, with deep expertise in at least one cloud platform.
  • Advanced Apache Spark knowledge, including performance tuning, partitioning, execution plans, memory management, and Spark internals.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, ETL/ELT, and modern data engineering frameworks.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, MLflow, model deployment, lifecycle management, and monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, MLflow, and Delta Live Tables (DLT).
  • Experience tuning large-scale distributed workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Strong troubleshooting and solution-architecture skills.
  • Public-sector experience is required/preferred.
