Job description
The Systems Administrator will support Windows and Linux development, integration, and test environments. This role will focus on system provisioning, imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity compliance, and supporting engineering teams in a cleared DoW environment.
As a Systems Administrator, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Provision, image, and maintain Windows-based development, integration, and test systems.
- Support Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar) in development and lab environments.
- Support hardware provisioning and OS imaging across Windows and Linux platforms.
- Assist with software testing, including environment setup, configuration, and validation.
- Provide IT support for development and lab infrastructure, including troubleshooting and patching.
- Support RMF and cybersecurity activities, including STIGs/CIS, evidence collection, and continuous monitoring.
- Maintain system, imaging, and cybersecurity documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, test engineers, system owners, and ISSO/ISSM personnel to ensure environment readiness and compliance.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in systems security.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows system administration, imaging, and configuration management.
- Supplemental experience with Linux system administration and basic command-line operations.
- Practical experience with hardware provisioning and OS imaging processes.
- Familiarity with software testing support or test environment management.
- Ability to work embedded with a development team and prioritize environment stability for engineering work., * Experience supporting software or systems development teams in a lab, integration, or product engineering environment.
- Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell preferred; Bash or Python a plus) for imaging and environment management.
- CompTIA Security+, Windows-focused certifications, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a DoD or cleared development program.
