Job description

As a Cyber Security Detection Analyst, youÂżll play a critical role in real-time security event monitoring and incident response. YouÂżll protect our organizationÂżs information systems by identifying suspicious activity and assisting in investigations. This operational role supports the IPSO and SOC teams, ensuring the security and integrity of our data and systems.   • Monitor and analyze security events to detect and respond to potential threats in real time.
  • Protect both cloud and on-premises infrastructures by identifying suspicious activity.
  • Assist with security incident investigations to mitigate risks and ensure system integrity.
  • Collaborate with SOC, IPSO, and IT teams to manage and address security risks effectively.

Requirements

  • Associate or BachelorÂżs degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Technology, or STEM, or 1-3+ years of equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or IT.
  • Knowledge of NGAV products (Carbon Black, Cisco Secure Endpoints, Crowdstrike), Email Defense (Proofpoint, Mimecast, Exchange Online ATP), Vulnerability Management (Tenable, Rapid7 InsightVM, Qualys), Security Awareness Platforms (KnowBe4, PhishMe, Ninjio), Active Directory, and networking/server fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cyber Security certification (Security+, GIAC, CISSP, etc.).
  • Experience with CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
