Job description
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III to join our dynamic team supporting a pioneering Generative AI initiative for a Global Markets environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python software engineering, AI/ML lifecycle and MLOps, and building secure, scalable, and compliant platforms for Generative AI and RAG and a proven ability to design, implement, and operate reusable AI tooling that meets functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements., * Design, build, and manage reusable tools and services for Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, utilities, and shared data science platforms for AI/ML and GenAI teams.
- Implement end-to-end MLOps for model training, fine-tuning, inference, and monitoring with CI/CD and testing.
- Build API-based applications and inference services using FastAPI, API gateways, JWT, and containerization.
- Engineer and operate RAG pipelines including chunking, embedding, retrieval, reranking, and summarization.
- Establish observability, policy enforcement, and reliability for AI gateways and inference platforms.
- Collaborate across large cross-functional teams using shared multi-repo workflows and modern IDE-based development.
- Research and prototype new tools that improve developer experience, UI/UX, and analytics platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues with root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- 3+ years of object-oriented Python development with expert-level coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience across AI/ML and GenAI lifecycle management, including MLOps, fine-tuning, and inference frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of RAG processes such as chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and summarization.
- Application development experience with one or more of MongoDB, Redis, Angular or React, containerization, FastAPI services, JWT, and API gateways.
- Strong DevOps background with Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, pytest, Artifactory, and Ansible.
- Experience building and deploying GenAI inference platforms with observability, policy stores, and AI gateways.
- Ability to work in large collaborative teams using multi-repo codebases and CI/CD pipelines in IDE-first environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing policy enforcement and observability for RAG and model-serving platforms.
- Background in UI/UX improvements for analytics platforms and rapid prototyping of developer tools.
