Job description

CGI is seeking to hire a Data Engineers passionate about building scalable data solutions and enabling data driven decision making! Join our growing engineering team and help design, develop, and optimize enterprise data platforms.

These are Full -Time, On-Site employment opportunities based in either the Dallas, TX area; Merrimack, NH; or Jersey City, NJ.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and ETL solutions.

. Build and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

. Develop and support enterprise data warehouse solutions and dimensional data models.

. Design scalable data integration patterns across on premises and cloud environments.

. Perform database performance tuning and optimization.

. Develop automation scripts using Python and Unix shell scripting.

. Manage and monitor batch processing using enterprise scheduling tools.

. Collaborate with application developers, architects, business analysts, and analytics teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

. Manage source code and deployments using GitHub and modern DevOps practices.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehouse development

. Expert-level SQL and Oracle PL/SQL development skills

. Strong experience with Oracle Database performance tuning and optimization

. Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools

. Experience with Python and Unix shell scripting

. Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Dimensional Modeling

. Experience building data integration solutions across cloud and on-premises environments

. Experience with batch scheduling tools such as Control M or AutoSys

. Experience with GitHub for source code management

. Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or OBIEE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Preferred skills:

. Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures

. Exposure to data governance and data quality best practices

. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,200.00 $153,300.00.
