Job description

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Property Manager to own the management of both Government Property and Astrion corporate property centrally managed from our Huntsville, AL facility. Reporting within the IT and Cyber division, this role maintains accurate property records, administers the AssetWorks eQUIP property system, conducts physical inventories, and coordinates the receipt, issuance, movement, and recapture of equipment in close partnership with the Enterprise Service Desk and Human Resources Teams. The role also supports Astrion’s Government Property Management System in accordance with FAR 52.245-1 and the Astrion GFE Property Management Manual. The role includes conducting and documenting annual property audits in coordination with DCMA and designated property administrators. This position is full-time and on-site at our Huntsville, AL facility., * Maintain all property records for Astrion corporate property centrally managed from the Huntsville, AL facility, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready

  • Administer the AssetWorks eQUIP property system and maintain the GFE and corporate property inventory within it
  • Maintain accurate Government Property records, including the Master Property List and property files, in accordance with FAR 52.245-1 and the Astrion GFE Property Management Manual
  • Receive, inspect, identify, and tag property, and document receipt within established timeframes
  • Conduct and support annual physical inventories, reconcile counts to the system of record, and report and resolve discrepancies
  • In coordination with the Enterprise Service Desk, capture and release equipment from stock for issuance to users
  • Document all property moves in the ManageEngine Enterprise Service Desk platform via service desk tickets
  • Coordinate the recapture of property from Astrion personnel upon termination or when equipment needs change
  • Receive and complete assigned property action tasks from the UKG HR platform
  • Investigate and report loss, theft, damage, or destruction (LTDD) of Government Property and prepare the required reports and notifications
  • Manage the movement, storage, and disposition and/or destruction of property, including the declaration and reporting of excess property
  • Coordinate preventive and nonscheduled maintenance of accountable property and maintain maintenance records
  • Support property reporting requirements, including reporting in PIEE for applicable Government-furnished property
  • Support subcontractor property control and coordinate physical inventories for property held by subcontractors, as applicable
  • Support property closeout at award completion or termination, including zero-balance reporting
  • Conduct internal property self-assessments, document findings and corrective actions, and support DCMA or Property Administrator reviews
  • Partner with IT, the service desk, HR, procurement, and contracts to ensure property actions are executed accurately and on time
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen and Active Secret security clearance (required)
  • Active DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) compliant certification, such as CompTIA Security+ (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of property management, asset management, or IT asset management experience, preferably in a government contracting environment
  • Experience supporting DCMA or Property Administrator reviews and contractor self-assessments
  • Experience with property closeout and plant clearance (PCARSS)
  • Deep expertise in:
  • Property lifecycle management: acquisition, receipt, identification and tagging, records, physical inventory, movement, storage, and disposition
  • Maintaining accurate, auditable property records and reconciling inventory to the system of record
  • Enterprise property or IT asset management systems (e.g., AssetWorks eQUIP or a comparable platform)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Government Property management requirements under FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS 252.245-7003
  • Physical inventory, reconciliation, and reporting processes
  • Loss, theft, damage, or destruction (LTDD) reporting and relief-of-stewardship procedures
  • Experience with:
  • IT service management and ticketing platforms (e.g., ManageEngine) for documenting property transactions
  • Coordinating property actions across IT, the service desk, HR, procurement, and contracts
  • Data accuracy, documentation discipline, and audit readiness

  • NPMA certification, such as Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) or Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA)
  • Project management experience
