Job description

This client creates a SaaS platform that supports life science and pharmaceutical companies. They are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Architect to build and support AWS infrastructure. This is a full-time position, requiring three days per week on-site in Greater Boston.

In this role, you will help shape cloud architecture, develop infrastructure using tools like Python and Infrastructure-as-Code, and build reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to ensure high-quality software delivery. Additionally, you’ll guide technical decisions across the organization, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and built to handle large volumes of complex data.

Requirements

  • 7 + years of experience in Cloud/DevOps Engineering
  • 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role
  • Experience designing and building systems in AWS environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms, data pipelines, or data-intensive applications
  • Experience with API’s, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Strong experience managing CICD systems, preferably with GitHub Actions

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with scientific data, life sciences, or lab systems (ELN, LIMS)
  • Experience supporting AI/ML or data platforms
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
