Epic Beaker Technical Analyst

Primary responsibilities to include Reference Lab Interfaces (HL7), and Other Vendor Interfaces (HL7):

• Data Innovations experience for instrument set up required.
• Interface Value Set mapping and Profile Variable Configuration
• Troubleshoot failed HL7 interface messages within Epic Bridges Interface Engine
• Build reference lab tests and reflex tests according to vendor specifications.
• Billing codes and pricing per CPT codes
• Update reference and result codes per vendor changes
• Daily monitoring of interfaces for failed messages and error logs
• Testing and validation of interfaces
• Connectivity and troubleshooting for laboratory instruments, Responsible for building and maintaining all dictionaries within these modules to include:
• Data Innovations required
• Tests, procedures, medical terms
• EMR Mapping
• Rules and Calculations
• Queries and custom order screens
• Standard reports and custom report formats
• Telecom, report queues, faxing
• Analyzer ports, upload/download codes
• LIS Client/Location
• Billing codes, CPT codes, and charges
• Lab Sites and departments
• Barcode labels, crossmatch cards, ISBT formats
• Loinc Code mapping
• Epic NPR Report Writer experience preferred, but not required.

Must have at least 2 years of direct build experience in Epic CP and experience in AP. Good working knowledge of integrated applications such as Epic Ambulatory and Epic Orders, ClinDoc, Stork, and Willow preferred., Project Management Experience:

• Knowledge on build, set up, testing, interface validation, implementation and go live for lab instruments.
• Knowledge of all regulatory requirements, including state, federal and local regulations.
• Vendors contact and communication of specifications, updates, issues, and timelines.
• Work with Network Analysts to set up ports and establish connectivity.
• Test and validate interfaces in Test and Live environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of HL7 requirements for orders and results.
• Previous experience in the management of clinical laboratory (Medical Technologist strongly preferred).
