Job description

Job Summary : The ENSD Technician is responsible for executing projects to deploy backbone capacity. This includes reading and understanding engineering and design packages, installing all cabling and hardware following standard operating procedures, documenting progress, and communicating with network engineers to assist with troubleshooting and provisioning. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective and professional communication, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position. Physical demands include the ability to move about the work area for long durations to perform essential job functions, regularly carrying 20lbs, and lifting 50lbs multiple times per day. Technicians will be required to assist with quality audits and emergency troubleshooting needs. Key Responsibilities Reading and understanding the engineering and design package(s) Reviewing bill of materials to confirm that all necessary materials are included Assembling and installing network hardware Running and patching pre-terminated fiber optic cabling Labeling hardware and connections Assisting network engineers with troubleshooting and provisioning Collecting deliverables such as pictures of completed work Reporting daily progress to the team lead and/or customer Cooperating with other technicians to execute large projects in a timely manner Coordinating with external partners to ensure smooth execution Maintain work areas and storage spaces Support other internal teams as needed if project work is slow Participate in on-call rotation for emergency troubleshooting 100% travel to support variable workloads across the DC. Required Qualifications Proficiency with Google Workspace products like Sheets and Docs. The ability to move about the work area for long durations to perform essential job functions The ability to regularly carry a 20lbs ladder The ability to lift 50lbs hardware multiple times per day Preferred Qualifications Experience in, commercial or hyperscale
