Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and React.js to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale web applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building modern, scalable applications using JavaScript technologies and RESTful APIs while working in an Agile environment.

Note: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Node.js and React.js.
  • Build responsive single-page applications (SPA) and secure RESTful APIs.
  • Develop scalable backend services using Express.js and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, backend, middleware, and database layers.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Node.js
  • React.js
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Express.js
  • Redux or Flux
  • Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture and backend design patterns.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, including complex SQL queries and query optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development environments.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience mentoring software engineers.

  • 13+ years of equivalent professional experience.

Work Authorization & Location

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Woodlawn, MD, five days per week.
