Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design and govern the release engineering process for multi-team software delivery, ensuring repeatable, automated, and secure releases. You will shape how versions are created, tested, and promoted across environments, working closely with software and AI engineers to embed quality checks. The position emphasizes traceability, rollback planning, and rapid recovery in a defense context, offering a chance to build a disciplined release capability at scale. You’ll operate in a collaborative, high-stakes environment where dependable delivery underpins mission success. Compensation / Benefits * Define release strategy and versioning conventions for software products * Build and improve CI/CD workflows to enable repeatable and low-risk releases * Integrate automated testing (unit/integration/regression/security) into delivery pipelines * Establish quality gates and test coverage standards to ensure release readiness * Maintain visibility of deployed versions, changes, and validation status across environments * Develop release and rollback procedures to enable safe deployments and quick recovery Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field * 8 years of relevant experience (or 6 years with Master’s) * Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines for production software * Knowledge of release engineering practices including versioning, artifact management, environment promotion, approvals, and rollback planning * Experience with automated testing in CI/CD pipelines (unit, integration, regression, security) * Experience with source control and CI/CD platforms (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) * Strong documentation and cross-functional communication skills * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance Key requirements * remote work (telework) * flexible schedule (9/80) * competitive benefits * focus on high-performance teams * equal opportunity employer
