Job description
- This role will focus on design, develop, enhance, and support FDM4 ERP applications.
- The role will work closely with business analysts, functional teams, QA, and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions across ERP, WMS, order management, inventory, purchasing, and e-commerce processes.
- Design and develop enhancements and customizations within the FDM4 ERP platform.
- Develop and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL/4GL.
- Work with Progress OpenEdge RDBMS and SQL for application development and data analysis.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Develop integrations between FDM4 and external systems using APIs, web services, and other integration mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide Level 2/Level 3 production support.
- Perform root-cause analysis, defect resolution, performance tuning, and system optimization.
- Develop unit tests and support system/integration testing.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Support FDM4 ERP modules including Order Management, Inventory, Warehouse Management, E-commerce.
- Work with DevOps/infrastructure teams on deployments, monitoring, and production releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Drive automation of repetitive operational tasks and reduce alert noise.
- Lead ERP readiness and support for peak retail periods, including holiday preparation and execution.
- Communicate clearly with leadership, ERP support teams, and business stakeholder.
Requirements
- Knowledge of FDM4 ERP or other ERP systems supporting retail operations.
- Experience in server side programming in any object oriented languages like Java, Python etc.
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL/4GL.
- Strong knowledge of Progress OpenEdge database/RDBMS concepts.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and OOP concepts.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Good to have experience in any ERP system
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills., * Experience in retail, eCommerce, supply chain, warehouse, or omnichannel environments.
- Familiarity with AWS environments and cloud-based application operations.
- EDI and B2B integrations.
- E-commerce integrations.
- Cloud/SaaS environments.
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
