Job description

  • Design, develop and implement data engineering solutions that can handle the scale and complexity of our healthcare data.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data processing and data extraction.
  • Use Terraform to write, plan, and create reproducible and scalable infrastructure.
  • Implement data version control using Git and manage data transformations using Delta Lake.
  • Develop Spark applications for data processing and orchestration.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Git, Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
  • High proficiency in Python or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.
