Job description
- Design, develop and implement data engineering solutions that can handle the scale and complexity of our healthcare data.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data processing and data extraction.
- Use Terraform to write, plan, and create reproducible and scalable infrastructure.
- Implement data version control using Git and manage data transformations using Delta Lake.
- Develop Spark applications for data processing and orchestration.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Git, Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
- High proficiency in Python or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.
