Job description

Design, develop and implement data engineering solutions that can handle the scale and complexity of our healthcare data.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data processing and data extraction.
Use Terraform to write, plan, and create reproducible and scalable infrastructure.
Implement data version control using Git and manage data transformations using Delta Lake.
Develop Spark applications for data processing and orchestration.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Ensure data privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
Proven experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Git, Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, or equivalent technologies.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
High proficiency in Python or Java.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations in the healthcare industry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail, with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.
