Lead Data Engineer

This position drives the technical direction of data engineering initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions, leading complex projects, and serving as a technical authority in data engineering. The Lead Data Engineer collaborates with senior leadership to align data strategies with business objectives and mentors team members to foster innovation and excellence, Technical Leadership and Innovation - Lead the design and implementation of innovative data engineering solutions. Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices. Provide technical guidance and oversight for critical data initiatives Data Strategy and Architecture - Develop and execute long-term data strategy aligned with business goals. Design scalable, enterprise-wide data architectures. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches Project Leadership and Delivery - Lead complex, high-impact data engineering projects. Manage project scope, timelines, and resources. Ensure successful delivery of data solutions that meet business requirements Performance Optimization and Scalability - Architect solutions for high-performance, large-scale data operations. Implement advanced optimization techniques for data processing and storage. Develop strategies for handling increasing data volumes and complexity Mentorship and Knowledge Leadership - Mentor data engineering team members and foster skill development. Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization. Represent the data engineering function in cross-functional initiatives

Enterprise data architecture

1. ETL processes and tools (e.g., DBTran, IICS, DataStage, SSIS, Apache Spark, Airflow)
2. Big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark) Advanced big data and cloud technologies Data governance and security Machine learning and AI integration Performance tuning and optimization, Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years’ experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 10 years’ experience in Advanced data engineering, enterprise architecture, project leadership Preferred Education:Other Preferred Area of Study:Computer Science, Data Science, or related field Preferred Education Level: Master’s Degree Preferred Area of Experience:Machine learning engineering, data science operations Required Licenses or Certifications: Preferred Licenses or Certifications
