Risk Exchange and Infrastructure Support Developer

Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals with software development-related education and/or experience to support Risk Exchange tool migration in support of Naval projects in Dahlgren, Virginia. This position is on-site in Dahlgren, VA, where Amentum has provided support to the customer for over 60 years.

You will be part of our growing systems and software engineering team and contribute your diverse skills across multiple software contracts in support of our Software Center of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere who are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Apply your skills to the latest DoW weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success., * Apply knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python, as well as GitLab, in support of the migration and software development activities.

• Support Naval projects and programs by conducting software development within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.
• Primarily support a Senior Amentum developer in development using Agile development principles.
• Perform analysis and problem-solving techniques in support of professional scientific and engineering work.
• Work independently and with others within established teams and across organizations to meet established goals within schedule-driven timelines.

• 0-10 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or another applicable technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the education requirement.
• Familiarity with Agile Development.
• Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.
• Must have an active Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.
• Candidate must maintain a valid REAL ID driver’s license, required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position requires occasional travel between local work sites during the week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of compilers, pipelines, CM tools, and DevOps is a plus.
