Experteer Overview In this on-site Cyber Security Engineer role, you will protect our technology landscape across enterprise and operational environments. You’ll strengthen the security program by managing firewall operations, threat response, and defensive controls across networks, endpoints, cloud services, and critical systems. You will work with technical teams and business partners to implement practical security improvements and support modernization efforts. Your work helps reduce risk, improve detection, and drive secure operations in a dynamic IT environment. This is a hands-on role that offers a clear impact on protecting critical assets and enabling secure business operations. Compensation / Benefits * Manage and enhance enterprise firewall operations with primary focus on Palo Alto platforms * Configure security rules, remote access controls, VPNs, and network segmentation to support secure operations * Investigate network/security issues via packet captures and trace analysis to identify root causes * Administer endpoint and web security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella) to protect user environments * Monitor alerts, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity across network, endpoint, cloud, identity, and OT systems * Drive remediation and risk reduction with practical security improvements aligned to threats and standards * Contribute to incident response activities including investigation, containment, recovery, and post-event follow-up * Support vulnerability management by partnering with IT and business teams to prioritize fixes * Maintain documentation and participate in reviews for new apps, infrastructure, and security projects * Sustain and optimize the standardized security environment following recent modernization Tasks * 2-4 years in cybersecurity, security engineering, incident response, or related field * Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls (policy management, troubleshooting, maintenance, optimization) * Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls * Experience analyzing network traffic, packet tracing, and resolving security/connectivity issues * Familiarity with endpoint and network security technologies (CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella, Check Point, Cisco ASA) * Understanding of vulnerability management, threat monitoring, and incident response in modern IT environments * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience/certifications considered * Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto credentials or CompTIA Security+ are a plus Key requirements *
