Requirements

  • 4 to 7 Years of experience in Navy Shipbuilding and Defense Systems. \n

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles \n

  • Knowledge of the Systems Modeling (SysML) or Unified Modeling (UML) \n

  • Experience with cross-platform collaborative MBSE/digital environments or equivalent (e.g., MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx System Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.), which provide tools to design, track, visualize, and analyze all aspects of systems in standard- compliant models and diagrams. \n

  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF) \n

  • Experience with unmanned systems architecture \n

  • 4+ years’ experience in US Navy Fleet systems engineering \n, n* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, naval architecture or related field\n

  • Apply modeling to support a systems or SoS’ requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phases. \n

  • Assist in providing Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) analysis to include open architecture model development and assist in the development of program information and documentation to identify technical parameters and thresholds as they pertain to each program relative to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. \n

  • Use developed and existing models to support development and tradeoffs in system-of-system architectures. \n

  • Use or identify engineering-level models to support trade studies of systems, such as sensors, payload or non-payload, combat systems, electro-optic systems and radar. \n

  • Support the development and/or review of models, documents and review boards. \n

  • Provide analytic and engineering services to assist in writing draft technical acquisition documentation, independent assessment of sensor and weapon performance, test planning/evaluation, CONOPS development/evaluation, system and architecture trade studies and end-to-end effectiveness assessments. \n
