IT Support Specialist

The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure, providing technical support to employees, ensuring network security, and implementing technology solutions that improve business operations. This position ensures all hardware, software, communication systems, and business applications operate efficiently while minimizing downtime., * Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and internet connectivity.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, antivirus protection, firewalls, and data backup procedures.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for software, hardware, and telecommunications support.
• Maintain inventory of all IT assets and software licenses.
• Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, and new software implementations.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Train employees on new technologies and cybersecurity awareness.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and data protection standards.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary., * Maintain high system uptime and reliability.
• Resolve support tickets within established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Minimize technology-related disruptions to business operations.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of IT support or systems administration experience.
• Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
• Experience supporting business applications and enterprise software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to crawl under desks, install equipment, and work in server rooms.
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
