Job description

MPC is seeking a Salesforce Release Manager with a minimum of eight years of experience who plans and coordinates scheduled software releases in support of organizational strategy and goals. Collaborates and manages various teams involved in the software development life cycle to ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of releases. Monitors the progress of releases and effectively identifies areas of improvement and bugs in the software through testing. Develops and reports metrics and communicates findings to leadership.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Recommend process improvements for the Salesforce release process across all development teams

  • Responsible for conducting technical code reviews and unit testing

  • Works with resources to support testing and perfect defect fixes as needed

  • Participates in daily scrum and project status calls to provide accurate updates on deliverable timelines and status

  • Creates and manages technical documentation as required

  • Works with COE leads for task prioritization, resolving issues and escalations

  • Responsible for code release and deployment activities

  • Participates in reviews of plans associated with project execution

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience

  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Release Management

  • US citizenship is required (No exceptions)

Bonus Points (Desired)

  • Desired Certifications; Salesforce: Admin, Release Manager, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect

  • Salesforce Developer Experience (SFDX) automation experience

Work Location

  • Mostly remote, with some client meetings in Springfield, VA

  • Candidate must reside in the DC Metro area, B.A. or B.S.

Clearance Level

US Citizenship required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) required.
