Appian-Application Developer - USD of Education

Atlanta-based defense contractor is seeking a full time Appian/Application Developer to be responsible for application development, configuration, enhancement, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support of the Department of Education’s Correspondence Tracking System (CTS). The developer will support Agile delivery, break-fix releases, system modernization, and day-to-day Operations & Maintenance activities., * Develop, configure, enhance, and maintain the Appian-based CTS application.

• Analyze business requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Develop workflows, process models, interfaces, integrations, and business rules using Appian.
• Support Jira backlog refinement and sprint implementation.
• Perform application troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Resolve software defects and production incidents.
• Conduct unit, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Participate in release planning and production deployments.
• Support change management and configuration management activities.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
• Support security remediation activities and vulnerability resolution.
• Assist with ATO documentation and compliance activities.
• Provide technical support to end users and Government stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

• Current Appian certification appropriate to the proposed role.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting Federal information systems.
• Minimum three (3) years of Agile software development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining Appian applications.
• Experience with application troubleshooting and production support.
• Experience with software testing and deployment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Appian Cloud Platform.
• Experience with MySQL databases.
• Experience with Jira and Agile DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience supporting Federal cybersecurity compliance activities.
• Familiarity with CSAM, ATO documentation, vulnerability remediation, and Section 508 considerations.
