Job description

We’re seeking a hands-on Reliability Engineer to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support long-term asset reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position serves as the primary onsite technical resource, partnering with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot equipment, optimize maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives., * Analyze equipment performance trends and identify opportunities to improve reliability and uptime

  • Generate and maintain equipment performance metrics, reports, and reliability documentation
  • Perform predictive maintenance activities including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and condition monitoring
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, automation, and controls-related equipment issues
  • Lead root cause failure investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures
  • Support and verify preventative maintenance programs while ensuring maintenance records remain accurate
  • Coordinate maintenance work performed by outside contractors and service providers
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory to minimize production interruptions
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to improve plant performance
  • Provide technical support for PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, instrumentation, motor controls, and electrical distribution systems
  • Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant reliability initiatives
  • Respond to equipment failures and provide technical guidance during shutdowns and emergency situations

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, controls, electrical systems, or manufacturing operations
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, instrumentation, motor controls, variable frequency drives, and industrial automation systems
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Experience working with low-voltage electrical distribution systems (480V and below)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing reliability improvements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with outside contractors
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Journeyman-level maintenance or electrical experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience within automotive manufacturing, chemical processing, or other industrial manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with burners, fans, pressure transmitters, and process instrumentation
