Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our System Modeling & Design Simulation organization. This team develops mathematical models, analytical tools, and simulation frameworks used to evaluate future system designs, optimize performance, and guide strategic engineering decisions.
The team enables data-driven innovation by creating predictive models that help engineering organizations understand how complex robotic systems will perform before physical implementation. Through system-level simulation and quantitative analysis, the team reduces technical risk, accelerates product development, and improves operational efficiency.
This leader will manage a team of approximately 5-10 engineers and modeling specialists.
What you’ll do
Technical Leadership
- Define and execute the strategy for system modeling, engineering simulation, and design optimization.
- Develop mathematical models representing robotic systems, workflows, operational processes, and system behaviors.
- Lead creation of simulation tools used to evaluate future product architectures and design concepts.
- Build capabilities for throughput analysis, capacity planning, system optimization, and performance forecasting.
- Drive design-space exploration and trade-off analysis for next-generation products and technologies.
- Develop discrete-event, operational, and system-level simulations supporting strategic engineering decisions.
- Partner with architecture, controls, mechanical, and software teams to analyze design alternatives and optimize system performance.
- Establish quantitative methodologies and predictive models that improve decision-making across the organization.
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of 5-10 simulation and modeling engineers.
- Establish technical standards and modeling best practices.
- Create a culture focused on analytical rigor, innovation, and engineering excellence.
- Support hiring, mentoring, and career growth of technical staff.
Strategic Impact
- Provide simulation-based recommendations that influence product and technology roadmaps.
- Partner with engineering leadership to assess future investments and architectural decisions.
- Communicate complex technical findings to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Requirements
