Job description

Serve as Project Manager and lead an application team in the development and support of software solutions in support of clinical, educational and research initiatives. This position plans, coordinates, prioritizes and supervises team activities such as setting project goals, designing and implementing project plans, and identifying resources necessary for the implementation of the current systems and future upgrades, expansions or integrations. Serve as liaison between multiple hardware and software vendors, staff and faculty to ensure systems properly integrate and meet the needs of the customers. Work with faculty, staff, and students to identify current and developing technical solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and quality patient care. The position, along with IT Manager or Director, will develop policies and procedures and maintain support documentation.

Designs, implements, upgrades and supports software programs and applications. This includes configuring, scripting, integrating, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. This position will also ensure that projects are completed in a timely and accurate fashion and provide support and communication to other departments where required. The position provides support for service requests and is the point of escalation for complex or unresolved issues. This position works with other IT teams to oversee, plan, monitor, secure, and maintain hardware and software.

This position provides summary reporting to management and college leadership and can represent the UF Health Information Technology department in customer meetings. This position will have strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate logical and successful problem solving.

This position will provide training, guidance and direction to Analyst I and Analyst II team members through the utilization of excellent coaching skills and team leadership. This position will assist with the management of Analyst I and Analyst II members in order to fulfill tasks, goals and initiatives established by the IT Manager and/or IT Director. EXPECTED SALARY

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience.   • Project Manager Professional (PMP) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working/supervising in a customer service environment.
  • Experience working with small project development team(s).
  • Knowledge of applications, project management, database, networking, or web technology.
  • Knowledge of dental and medical terminology preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to determine project requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application and integration problems and devise appropriate resolutions.
  • Ability to evaluate workflows and strategies to maximize efficiency.
  • Able to lead and direct system implementation and changes in a positive way that encourages active faculty and staff involvement
