Linux System Administrator

Experteer Overview In this role you support Linux infrastructure within DoD enclaves and contribute to hybrid cloud initiatives. You will work with engineers, developers, and sysadmins to expand capabilities while ensuring secure, reliable operations. The position emphasizes hands-on administration, troubleshooting from OS to application layers, and implementing security measures for DoD networks. You’ll help design improvements to performance, security, and scalability in collaboration with a cross-functional team. This on-site role in Alexandria, VA offers a meaningful impact by accelerating capability delivery to warfighters. Compensation / Benefits * Install and maintain Linux servers. * Provide technical leadership for migrating on-premises infrastructure to hybrid cloud. * Troubleshoot issues from OS to application level. * Manage networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls). * Configure and maintain core enclave services: DHCP, DNS, e-mail, Apache, Tomcat, Atlassian, MariaDB. * Configure and monitor security tools for DoD networks. * Participate in design discussions to improve capabilities, performance, and security. Tasks * US Citizen with active Secret clearance * Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience (experience can substitute for degree) * 4+ years’ System Administration experience on DoD IT systems * DoD 8570 IAT level I compliant Key requirements *
