Job description

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join a team building and modernizing enterprise-grade applications for Marriott’s hospitality technology platforms. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java-based backend development and modern frontend frameworks, and has hands-on experience using Cursor AI (or similar AI-assisted coding tools) to accelerate development, refactoring, and code review workflows., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot/Spring MVC) on the backend and React/Angular on the frontend.

  • Leverage Cursor AI to speed up code generation, debugging, refactoring, and writing unit tests while maintaining code quality and security standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs/microservices; integrate with third-party and internal systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices (SOLID, design patterns, CI/CD).
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring AI-generated code meets security, performance, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the stack.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Backend: Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
  • Frontend: React.js or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Database: MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle; basic exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB) a plus
  • AI Tools: Hands-on experience with Cursor AI for AI-pair-programming, code generation, and refactoring
  • APIs: REST, JSON, Microservices architecture
  • DevOps/Cloud: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/CI-CD, Docker; AWS/Azure exposure preferred
  • Testing: JUnit, Mockito, integration testing frameworks

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the travel/hospitality domain
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, Kafka, or event-driven architecture
  • Exposure to other AI coding copilots (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Comfortable adapting workflows to incorporate AI-assisted development responsibly
