Java API & UI Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Java Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in API and UI automation to support a leading banking and financial services client., * Develop and execute automated API functional tests using Java & REST Assured

• Design and implement automated UI functional tests using Playwright
• Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test scripts
• Develop and execute manual functional, regression, integration & E2E testing
• Create and maintain test cases using Xray / HP ALM
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams
• Perform Java development, debugging, and maintenance using IntelliJ IDEA
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and continuous testing
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage

Required Skills

Java REST Assured Playwright API Automation / Functional Testing REST APIs, HTTP Methods & JSON Manual Functional Testing Test Case Design Xray / HP ALM IntelliJ IDEA Agile/Scrum Strong debugging & analytical skills

• Banking / Financial Services experience
• CI/CD & automated test pipelines

• Maven / Gradle
• SQL & database validation
• Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred.
