Job description

We are seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join an infrastructure development organization focused on building automation solutions that enable a software-driven infrastructure environment.

In this role, you will develop automation solutions for infrastructure services and application migration initiatives, with a strong focus on Python development, React, API development, and cloud-native technologies. You will help build scalable, self-service capabilities that improve reliability and reduce operational effort. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions.
Build automation solutions supporting infrastructure services and application migration initiatives.
Develop API interfaces for infrastructure components and internal systems.
Build scalable and reliable self-service capabilities for customers.
Develop and maintain backend services using Python.
Develop user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
Participate in CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps practices.
Troubleshoot production and non-production issues and serve as an escalation point when needed.
Ensure solutions meet quality, security, compliance, and engineering standards.
Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
4+ years of professional Python development experience.
4+ years of Python unit testing experience.
3+ years of React/front-end development experience.
3+ years of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps experience.
2+ years of API development experience.
1+ year of cloud-native application development experience using technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry.

Preferred Qualifications

Full-stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with SQL databases and database design.
Infrastructure, network, or operational automation experience.
Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry.
Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of networking, load balancing, PKI/certificates, cryptography, or key management.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
