Job description
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining a next-generation, highly automated server build and provisioning environment across both Windows and Linux platforms. This role leverages HashiCorp Packer, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to automate OS image creation, deployment, configuration management, and ongoing lifecycle management. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, test, and support scalable infrastructure solutions supporting enterprise environments., * Design and implement automated Windows and Linux server provisioning solutions

Build and maintain OS image creation pipelines using HashiCorp Packer

Develop infrastructure automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Bash
-
Create and support CI/CD processes for infrastructure deployments
-
Integrate provisioning workflows with cloud, virtualization, networking, monitoring, and identity services
-
Build automated testing and validation processes to ensure platform reliability
-
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and automation workflows

Partner with engineering, operations, and platform teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions

Document solutions and transition services into operational support
Requirements
- Strong engineering background in one or both of the following:
o Windows Server (2019/2022/2025)
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Server provisioning and operating system automation experience
-
HashiCorp Packer
-
Ansible
-
Scripting experience in one or more:
o PowerShell
o Python
o Bash

Git source control
-
Experience with JSON/YAML-based configurations
-
Artifactory or comparable artifact repositories
-
Microsoft Azure or enterprise cloud platforms
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks
-
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools, 1. Linux Engineering background- RHEL (red hat enterprise Linux)
- Windows Engineering background
Hands-on experience designing and delivering automated Windows or Linux Server OS provisioning for on prem or internal cloud environments.
Automation experience with ansible and packer (building pipelines)
Scripting experience - python, bash (for Linux), PowerShell (for Windows)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments.
Experience integrating provisioning workflows with platform services such as virtualization, networking, identity, monitoring, and configuration management systems.
Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows.
Experience with building and large-scale implementations * Automation for large-scale enterprise or cloud deployments
