Job description
The IT Specialist will be the primary point of contact for all technology needs within our manufacturing facility and front office and this role will be 100% based in the office, there will be ZERO remote work. This role bridges the gap between hardware support, network administration, and software optimization. You will ensure minimal downtime on the production floor while supporting office staff with daily technical challenges, system updates, and data management., * Systems Management: Oversee and maintain our core business management and ERP software (e.g., Odoo), ensuring smooth inventory tracking, automated replenishment rules, and accurate origin of goods data.
- Data & Reporting: Assist operations by developing complex spreadsheets, utilizing advanced Excel functions (like nested IF statements and XLOOKUP) for data extraction, logic-based status tracking, and reporting.
- Hardware Support: Setup, deploy, and troubleshoot workstations, printers (including specialized manufacturing/label printers), and network equipment across the office and production floor.
- Network Infrastructure: Monitor network performance, manage IP addresses, and ensure secure, reliable Wi-Fi and wired connectivity throughout the facility.
- Helpdesk & Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to IT support requests from staff, resolving software glitches, hardware malfunctions, and access issues.
- Security & Backups: Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices, manage user permissions, and ensure routine data backups are successfully completed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
- Education: Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Technical Skills: * Strong proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 administration.
- Expert-level data management skills, particularly in Excel.
- Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous IT experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Hands-on experience managing ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with maintaining hardware in industrial or dust-prone environments
