Entry-Level E-Discovery / ESI Support Person

A small downtown Seattle firm is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our team in an entry-level role managing electronically stored information (ESI) for federal criminal defense counsel nationwide, with occasional work on civil ESI matters. This is a hybrid position, meaning the job includes both required in-office attendance and remote work. After at least two weeks of in-office training, candidates should expect to work from our downtown Seattle office a minimum of two days a week, with additional in-office days as needed based on the firm’s workload and staff schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and meaningful legal work. No prior e-discovery experience is required-we will train the right candidate.

In this position, you will learn how to set up, support, and use e-discovery review databases, convert surveillance recordings and other media into common file types, and manage geolocation data obtained from cellphones and tracking devices.

The ideal applicant must be curious, organized, and comfortable learning new software applications. Strong writing skills are important because the position will involve communicating with defense counsel, legal staff, and personnel at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, is also helpful. We are looking for someone interested in developing a career with the firm. This position is not intended as a short-term opportunity to gain law firm experience before applying to or attending law school. Starting pay $23/hr.
