Job description

Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and popular frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Struts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and other technical discussions to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and resolve issues.
Continuously improve software development processes and practices.

Requirements

ILS Inc. is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Java Software Developer to support a federal project. The ideal candidate will have good experience designing and developing microservices-based applications using Java and related technologies. Candidate should possess strong attention to detail and good written and oral communication skills.

MUST BE LOCAL TO DC METRO AREA (hybrid support - 2 days in ILS HQ office, located in Fairfax, VA 22033)., * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related equivalent.

At least 10 years experience in software development with microservices-based applications using Java and popular frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Struts).
Hands-on experience with Java8 / 11+, Microservices, Angular, Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber, AWS, Kafka, Containerization, SVN, Jenkins.
Java full-stack development experience.
Cloud migration (AWS)
Relational Database Mgmt. Systems (RDBMS)
Familiarity and experience with Software Development Kits (SDK)

DevOps Tool: Hudson, Jenkins
Data stores knowledge (Zookeeper, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, Acumulo)
Databases: Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL
