Job description

Join an innovative quality engineering team tasked with building next-generation test automation solutions. In this role, you will design, architect, and scale automation frameworks while leveraging advanced AI tools to accelerate testing processes. This position operates on a hybrid schedule out of our Charlotte, NC office (3 days/week onsite)., * Architect and maintain enterprise-level test automation suites using Playwright and TypeScript.

Utilize AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI Codex) to stream test creation, debugging, and data generation.
Develop automated API tests for RESTful and GraphQL web services.
Maintain legacy Cypress frameworks and facilitate smooth migrations to Playwright.
Partner with development teams to integrate test automation into continuous delivery pipelines.

Requirements

5+ years of technical experience in software test automation.

Strong expertise with Playwright, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript environments.

Hands-on experience applying AI assistants within your daily engineering workflow.

Deep understanding of API automation, contract testing, and request chaining.

Ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC 3 days per week.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Cypress component and integration testing.

Proven track record architecting test automation frameworks from scratch.

Strong background in CI/CD pipeline setup and execution reporting.
