Job description
We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer to validate AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software platforms for next-generation automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded firmware validation, HIL/SIL testing, automotive communication protocols, and Python automation. You will develop validation strategies, automate test execution, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure software quality and reliability., * Design and execute validation strategies for AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive software stacks.
- Validate automotive communication protocols including CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, and DoIP.
- Develop automated test frameworks using Python (PyTest).
- Perform HIL/SIL testing, fault injection, regression testing, and root cause analysis.
- Debug firmware and communication issues using automotive validation tools.
- Collaborate with firmware, BSW, and functional safety teams to resolve defects.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of embedded firmware validation or automotive software testing experience.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive.
- Hands-on experience with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, or Automotive Ethernet.
- Strong Python scripting skills and familiarity with embedded C.
- Experience with HIL/SIL validation and Linux environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills., * Experience with QNX, INTEGRITY, PikeOS, or SafeRTOS.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 (ASIL) and ISO 21434.
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, TRACE32, ControlDesk, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, * AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive: 3 years (Required)
