Data Engineer

Suguitan Financial Systems is a boutique consultancy specializing in application development within the financial services space. We partner closely with our clients to build high quality software that solves real business problems for our clients and their users., The ideal candidate is eager to improve, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to learn the technical and professional skills required to build high quality data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work directly with experienced engineers in a small, collaborative environment where mentorship and professional growth are a core part of the role., * Partner with product managers and engineers to plan and implement data pipelines and infrastructure

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Dagster or Airflow
• Work with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, MSSQL or PostgreSQL, Python, and dbt
• Review peer code, apply feedback from teammates, and help maintain and raise engineering standards

• 2-6 years of professional data engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or another modern cloud data platform
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow
• Proficiency with SQL (MSSQL or PostgreSQL) and Python
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and data quality best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Experience with dbt is a plus
