Senior Software Developer

You will work directly on the development and evolution of our PIDS platform, a live system currently deployed in client environments around the globe.

Your focus will include:

• Taking ownership of features from concept through to deployment
• Contributing to the architecture and technical direction of the platform
• Continuously improving system performance and scalability
• Contributing to the UI/UX redesign of the platform interface as part of the wider product and brand evolution
• Supporting integration of additional modules such as CCTV and access control
• Working closely with engineering, operations and support to ensure the platform continues to support and evolve in real world environments

The platform

• Integrates radar, AIS, sonar and camera systems
• Provides real time tracking and situational awareness
• Supports detection, identification and response workflows
• Operates across marine, offshore and infrastructure environments

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Strong commercial experience developing software in agile DevOps/DevSecOps environments

• Experience working across backend and frontend systems
• Ability to work within and improve an existing codebase (continuous refactoring)
• Experience delivering scalable systems, not just prototypes
• Comfortable working with incomplete requirements and shaping solutions

• JavaScript or TypeScript
• SQL
• Real time communication frameworks
• Containerisation

Desirable

• Experience with real time and/or event driven systems
• Experience integrating hardware and/or external systems
• Knowledge of spatial, tracking or sensor based data

• Work on a platform that encompasses a broad range of interesting, specialist technologies
• Influence architecture, product structure and technical standards
• Build a product used in challenging, real world operational environments

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
