IT Support Specialist

Xinquan Kentucky is seeking a motivated and technically skilled I.T. Support Specialist to support daily technology operations within our automotive manufacturing facility. This role will provide hands-on technical support to employees, maintain computer systems and equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with the implementation and support of IT systems used throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience supporting users in a manufacturing or corporate environment. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with both local teams and global partners to maintain reliable and efficient technology operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide first-level IT support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, scanners, and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and technology equipment.
• Support employee onboarding by preparing computers, system access, and required technology resources.
• Manage and respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.

Manufacturing Systems Support

• Provide IT support for production floor technology, including computers, terminals, scanners, printers, and manufacturing-related equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting production system connectivity issues and support plant operations.
• Support the reliability and availability of IT systems critical to manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and administrative teams to resolve technology issues.

Network & System Administration Support

• Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity, user access, and equipment configuration.
• Support user account management, permissions, and access control processes.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and system maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Follow company cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Support security best practices, including password management, system access controls, and data protection.
• Assist with identifying and reporting potential security risks or incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and employee data.

Equipment & Asset Management

• Maintain inventory records of IT hardware, software, and equipment.
• Assist with IT equipment deployment, replacement, and lifecycle management.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on IT assets.
• Maintain organized IT work areas and storage locations.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with corporate IT teams and international support teams to resolve technical issues.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to IT processes and system efficiency.
• Provide recommendations for improving workplace technology and user experience.

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent technical training, certifications, or relevant work experience considered.

Experience

• 1-3 years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or system administration experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting Windows-based environments preferred., * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common business applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot computers and peripherals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP, MES, manufacturing systems, or production technology support.
• Experience supporting barcode scanners, printers, tablets, and industrial devices.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and IT asset management.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin communication skills preferred due to global operations and collaboration with headquarters teams.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to walk throughout the production facility and support equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work occasional extended hours or support after-hours system issues when needed.
