Job description

The software behind our platform spans embedded firmware, patient- and clinician-facing device applications, and cloud infrastructure for model training and data management. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to own program management across these work streams: building integrated schedules, tracking cross-team dependencies, running our planning cadence, and keeping software deliverables on track as we drive toward clinical milestones., * We care for others. We prioritize safety both for patients and one another.

  • We own outcomes, not just tasks. Our work demands the highest standards because it impacts real patients and real lives.
  • Humility is a strength. We are honest about what we know and what we don’t know. Getting it right matters more than being right., * Own program planning and execution across our software and firmware workstreams.
  • Build and maintain integrated schedules across teams; identify, track, and escalate cross-team dependencies and risks before they become slips.
  • Run our planning and delivery cadence (Jira/Confluence): sprint planning support, milestone tracking, dashboards, and clear status reporting to engineering and company leadership.
  • Coordinate regulated software documentation with our Quality and Regulatory teams (including IEC 62304 lifecycle deliverables, cybersecurity documentation, reviews, traceability) so compliance work is scheduled and resourced appropriately. Quality owns the process; you make sure engineering delivers into it.
  • Support planning inputs for regulatory submissions.
  • Interface with hardware and research program management counterparts to keep software commitments aligned with device-level and study-level plans.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of technical program or project management experience supporting software, firmware, or embedded systems teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to run cross-functional planning: dependency mapping, schedule ownership, risk tracking, and escalation across multiple engineering teams.
  • Fluency with Jira and Confluence (or equivalent) as working tools.
  • Strong written communication: you can turn a messy cross-team status into a one-page summary an executive can act on.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: we are a ~50-person startup and processes are being built as we go. You want to build them, not just inherit them., * Experience in regulated medical device software development: IEC 62304, design controls, design history file deliverables, or equivalent regulated-industry experience (aerospace, automotive functional safety).
  • Program management for embedded/firmware development, including hardware-dependent scheduling.
  • Exposure to medical device cybersecurity documentation (FDA premarket cybersecurity guidance, SBOM management).
  • Experience supporting FDA submissions (IDE, PMA, 510(k)).
  • Familiarity with ML development workflows or cloud infrastructure programs.
